Research and Monitoring

From time to time, the Biodiversity Centre for Wildlife Studies will engage in, collaborate on, or support various research and monitoring programs that address issues pertaining to potential stewardship responsilbity and threat to wildlife in British Columbia.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of specific threats that can be identified for the diverse, and often distinct,  flora and fauna in British Columbia, and it is clearly beyond the scope and objectives of BCFWS to address them all. However, it is our intention to make as much summary information available as often as possible, especially for large-scale concerns in British Columbia.

There are presently three topics to select from in the menu to the left: Climate Change, Forests and Wildlife, and Roads and Wildlife. As this section of our website evolves in the coming months and years, we plan to showcase several different areas where BCFWS is involved with research and monitoring projects.
